In a magical setting thanks to late snow showers, the Buffalo Bills beat the Miami Dolphins 32-29 with a game-winning field goal Saturday night at Highmark Stadium.

The more this match progressed, the more the ground was decorated with white. The snow redoubled its ardor as soon as the equality of 29 to 29 was created. Dawson Knox accepted the pass in the end zone from Josh Allen, and it was the quarterback himself who took charge of the two-point conversion by diving over a human wall.

Regaining possession of the ball, the Bills positioned themselves in the best possible place to give kicker Tyler Bass every chance of success. The players in red even chased the snow in front of the paying zone as best they could to prevent the latter from slipping during his 25-yard attempt. His kick was unmistakable, and Buffalo (11-3) got to celebrate.

Miami (8-6), unaccustomed to the snow in Florida, came close to defeating the Bills again this season, which would have further tightened the AFC East standings. Tua Tagovailoa did what he could with 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns, but he wasn’t as good as Allen.

The home team center used all his tools to complete 25 of his 40 passing attempts, for 304 yards and four majors through the air.

The famous expected “Snowbowl” did not finally take place, the storm having hit the Buffalo region in the last days having died down before the meeting. That didn’t stop fans from having fun with the snow…at the players’ expense.

Countless snowballs were hurled onto the field, and officials had to step in, promising penalties for the Bills for indiscipline in the stands. The threats didn’t dampen the energy of the fans, who took aim at the Dolphins players as they returned to the locker room for halftime.

With the victory, the Bills secured their place in the playoffs for the fourth straight season.
