With a 21-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday at Lumen Field, the San Francisco 49ers captured the Nationals West Division title.

This is the seventh consecutive win for the “Niners” (10-4), who can no longer be caught in the standings by their closest pursuers, the Seahawks (7-7).

The loss of quarterbacks Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo for the rest of the regular season didn’t bode well for the 49ers. However, their former seventh-round pick Brock Purdy has picked up the slack in the last three games.

The Arizona native continued his momentum by throwing two touchdown passes in today’s duel, completing 17 of 26 stints for 217 aerial yards. George Kittle was the recipient of his two assists having added six points to the board.

Running back Christian McCaffrey also picked up a major. He seems to find his comfort in San Francisco, two months after being acquired from the Carolina Panthers. For the second straight game, he had at least one touchdown and 100 rushing yards.

Behind the center of the Seahawks, Geno Smith was more in demand than his vis-à-vis. He didn’t have much to be ashamed of in the loss, completing 31 of his 44 assists. He threw a single touchdown pass, into the hands of Noah Fant.
