FSecond division soccer team Hamburger SV has extended the contract with sports director Jonas Boldt and promoted Eric Huwer from finance director to board member. Both received a working paper valid until 2025. The club announced this on Thursday.
“Jonas and Eric have proven over the past few weeks and months how well they manage HSV Fußball AG. We see ourselves in a good position with a dynamic Management Board duo that gets down to business and doesn’t require any adjustment or familiarization time,” said Marcell Jansen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
After Thomas Wüstefeld’s resignation as chief financial officer ten weeks ago, Boldt was the club’s only board member. The 40-year-old manager has been in office since May 2019. “We have developed something here that our fans and viewers can identify with,” said Boldt after signing the contract and added. “We can continue to grow HSV with continuity and stability at the cutting edge.” Huwer has worked in the club’s finance department for eight years and is considered an expert in his field.
Coach Tim Walter, whose contract ends next summer, is due to extend his working papers at HSV in January. Boldt has been in agreement with the coach for a long time about further cooperation.
