NBA names awards after former superstars

The Basketball Professional League NBA honors their best new trophies. That’s how he gets Most Valuable Players (MVP) of the season in the future Michael Jordan Trophythe Rookie of the Year Wilt Chamberlain Trophy and the best sixth man the John Havlicek Trophy.
Named after six-time NBA champion Jordan, who is considered the greatest basketball player in history, the MVP trophy features a gold player holding a crystal in his outstretched arm instead of a ball. NBA legend Jordan, who won all titles with the Chicago Bulls, was named MVP five times. “Our new trophy case celebrates some of the greatest and most influential players in NBA history,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver: “As we honor the top players in the league each season, we also pay tribute to the legends who embody these prestigious awards.”
The award for the was newly introduced “Clutch Player of the Year”, i.e. the difference player of the year in the decisive phases of the game. This is presented with the Jerry West Trophy.
