The two-time team player is currently training for his comeback. Barisic is optimistic: “After his cruciate ligament tear, Dejan only skips duels. He should be able to train fully again in mid-January.”
With a strong comeback, the 24-year-old could still be recommended for an extension of the expiring contract.
Burgstaller against Schalke
In time for the test against his former club Schalke on Friday (7 p.m.). Guido Burgstaller return to training. Not until January Thorsten Schick (bar) and Drago Savic (muscle fiber tear) can train.
“Only” a duo should be on the injured list for a longer time. It’s going to be months Max Hofmann (hip surgery) and Nikolas Sattlberger (cruciate ligament tear) missing.
