On December 1, the Orix Buffaloes signed a training contract with former Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters infielder Kyohei Ueno. His jersey number is 124.

Ueno is an infielder who joined Nippon-Ham from Kyoto International High School after being nominated in 3rd place in the 2019 draft. 074 batting average (2 hits in 27 at-bats), including his first professional hit in 12 games this season. 186 (38 hits in 204 at-bats), 0 homers, 11 RBIs, and 4 stolen bases in 72 games in the second team.

On October 23, he was notified that he would not sign a contract for next season.
