Nikola Mirotic’s return is closer than ever. The 31-year-old Hispano-Montenegrin player is in the final stretch of his recovery, after a long injury to the Achilles tendon, which has kept him away from the court for nearly six months, since the end of last season’s League.
The Barcelona star rejoined training as normal on Tuesday, after working alone in the last two weeks, and will travel with the group to Berlin, where they will play Alba this afternoon (6.30pm, DAZN) in the 11th day of the Euroleague.
Mirotic’s presence in the game, despite being included in the call-up, is not guaranteed. Everything will depend on coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, who wants full guarantees that the player does not cause any discomfort and will not force him.
