One-arm basketball player scores first points in NCAA competition, including hard dunk | basketball

Hansel Emmanuel has been a social media phenomenon for a while now. The 19-year-old American with roots in the Dominican Republic can play basketball and dunk quite a bit, even though he only has one arm.

Emmanuel lost his left arm in an accident at a young age, but that does not prevent him from fulfilling his basketball dream. Since this season, he plays for Northwestern State University in the NCAA, the American college competition.

The 1.98m tall guard has now also made his first points. A few days ago he scored 5 points against Louisiana-Monroe. After he had already made a lay-up, his first score, he also scored a dunk after a missed free throw. The room exploded.

“I made my family proud,” Emmanuel smiled after the game. “I keep working hard. I’m not giving up.”
