With the participation of a total of 58 teams from 16 states of the Republic, the National Minibasketball Festival was inaugurated at the Zamná Polifórum, an event that will last four days and concludes tomorrow with the presence of some 700 competitors and more than three thousand relatives who They come to accompany you.
The Mexican Basketball Sports Association, together with state authorities, organize this sporting event in a way that is another of the national ones that were brought to Yucatan this year, hoping that the event will be a success since they are category 9 athletes- 10 years. Yucatán competes with eight teams, seven men’s and one women’s.
Carlos Sáenz, director of the Yucatan Sports Institute, declared the tournament open and was accompanied by Mario Méndez Realpozo, president of the Central American Basketball Confederation; Cristóbal Vargas Ibarra, president of the National Youth Basketball Commission and the Mexican Sports Association of Sonora and Jorge Carlos López Febles, president of ADEMEBA Yucatán, among other authorities and guests.
The athlete Said Herrera Soto from the Rogers school was in charge of making the protest and Yaretzi Gallareta from the State of Morelos and Camila Cauich from Yucatan were at the kick-off.
The games will be held at the Kukulcán Sports Complex, according to the official statement.
