Mathieu De Giovanni absent for several months

The second row Mathieu De Giovanni suffered a pectoral injury during the game counting for the first day of the Challenge against Treviso. His unavailability is estimated at four months.

The bad news is linked for the Stade Français. After Paul Gabrillagues, touched in the knee and absent for at least two months, it is the turn of Mathieu De Giovanni (28 years old) to join the infirmary. The second line tore his pectoral against Treviso in Challenge (24-14) on Friday and will be unavailable for four months.

It’s a second second line on the flank for many months. Not to mention that Pierre-Henri Azagoh is still recovering from his shoulder operation. It is supposed to resume in February. There are therefore only two second-row operational: Baptiste Pesenti and the South African JJ Van der Mescht. It could be that the third row Marcos Kremer, back from suspension, is used in the second row.

The Parisian club could very soon recruit a medical joker to strengthen their position and compensate for their many injuries in the position.
