Scola was already there when Argentina came close to winning the title at the 2002 World Cup in Indianapolis. Before being part of the gold medalist squad at the Athens Olympics two years later, alongside Manu Ginobili.

“I always wanted to represent Argentina, tried to win tournaments, but the most important thing was to give the best of ourselves, to be good role models and to play for our country. Being part of our golden generation with so many amazing players has also been a very special experience. We have had extraordinary victories. Although there were some disappointing results, we gained more than we lost and we learned many life lessons along the way. »
