She first appeared in the World Cup in December 1995, i.e. at a time when many of her current rivals were not yet born. As the only Polish biathlete, she was able to win the SP race during her career, even repeatedly. In December 2006 in Östersund and 2013 in Sochi. She was on the steps a total of six times. She competed at the Olympic Games four times. He also has 21 starts at the World Cup.

Björndalen started in 26 consecutive WC seasons from 1992/93 to 2017/18.

She has not yet revealed whether Gwizdoňová intends to remain in the biathlon world in some role. “Every ending is the beginning of something new,” she wrote vaguely.
