(wS/red) Siegen / Iserlohn 12/28/2022 | The last competition this year took place in Iserlohn, where the TuS Iserlohn traditionally competes for the coveted Christmas trophy in the club ranking. With 21 small Christmas trophies for the individual tournament victories in all youth age groups, the local judoka did extremely well. The judo friends only narrowly failed to defend the cup. The Linderberger judoka came second with seven tournament winners.

Gero Anders and Jonathan Gehrke started in a good mood in their weight classes in the U11 age group. Three wins each, Gero with three different techniques, Jonathan three times with a hip throw and the first trophies were won. In addition, Jonathan Gehrke was in a bit of a hurry, as none of the encounters lasted longer than 20 seconds. With one fight won, Kevin Kolasin finished second in the 42.2 kg class. Mariella Herbst really got going after her defeat at the beginning, won twice with the outside sickle and thus secured third place. In the U13 age group, Luan Shala and Theo Hellwig made for an exciting heavyweight final. But before that, both of them impressively prevailed with three early victories. Luan then determined the final fight and brought his training partner to the ground with Tai-o-toshi. There was also an internal club final in the class up to 43 kg. Here Yehor Semenov won against Arsenii Polishchuk, who held silver in his hand. Judo flea Jolina Sening (-30 kg) won the tournament without a fight. In the U15 age group, her brother Nick was up to 46 kg on the mat and did the same as Jolina, only with the difference that Nick swept his two opponents off the mat prematurely. Bodhan Semenov, who successfully completed his final with a foot technique, was also first up to 55 kg. With these many successes, they just missed the cup defense in the club ranking. In the U11 age group, Nico Hellmann and Lukas took first place. Mara Gerhus finished second with two wins and one loss and Alena Stiegler took bronze with one win. Just like Noah Koziol and Luca Krumm, who also took third place in their first tournament. U13: Here we had a particularly large number of cancellations due to illness. Only Lukas Maier and Leon Westphal were there. Leon Westphal won his weight class with three early wins, Lukas Maier was third. U15: Marie Ax defeated her teammate Tamina Jost at the start. She won the final after a short fight, Tamina was third. Felix Wolf won the tournament winner without a fight. Aaron Grütner had to go into overtime twice and won bronze. U18: Janne Westphal beat his teammate David Kaiser in the “Best of Three” and relegated him to second place. Nils Gertzen won silver, Ben Turian won bronze.
JV Siegerland:
U11: With three wins, Jonte Kraft (-34.2 kg) won a trophy, as did Mikail Karaefe (-30.9 kg) and Jonas Schlaak (-23.8 kg), who was ahead in the “Best of Three”. Only in the final was Mykhailo Pasat (-32.1 kg) inferior. Third places went to Evelyn Moritz and Leon Rumann. Nils Schlaak won the AK U13 without a fight, Enes Murati won the silver medal up to 40 kg. With three body throw victories, Celvin Oborovski (-40 kg/ U15) was at the top of the podium.

In the U11 age group, Julius Siebel was second up to 30.3 kg. With Leo Stahlschmidt, Mika and Leo Saez Cano, Charlotte Wrischnig, Jusus Keil and Tilda Serapinas, six other “Flecker” judoka took third place on the podium. There were also four placements in the U13. Trophies were won by Frederic Wessling (-46 kg) and Lukas Fabiani, who was up to 50 kg on the mat.
