Joel Embiid complains about teams not looking to win in the NBA. But the Cameroonian is not really talking about “tanking”, he is actually referring to the Toronto Raptors who, according to him, have other ambitions.

Is that supposed to be a pike? Joel Embiid presents it as a spade. A way of saying that if the Raptors block the opposing superstar and force him to play a bad game, they will be satisfied with the result no matter what. Perhaps because he was limited to 6 of 16 in a recent victory against the Canadian franchise (while scoring 28 points all the same).
