The state kyu examination of the Ju-Jutsu Association Rhineland-Palatinate (JJVRP) took place in Daaden. Due to sufficient and intensive preparation, the examiners were satisfied at the end of the three-hour event and confirmed their skills to the examinees. Rika Otterbach and Mats Strunk from Daaden now have the “right and obligation”, as it says on the certificates, to wear the brown belt in Ju-Jutsu. From now on, Alina Utsch, Christina Mühlich, Merle Kempf ( JJJV Daaden) and Michaela Wendel (Budo-Sport Herdorf). Rika Otterbach and Mats Strunk are therefore Dan candidates and the next test will be the black belt and thus the first master degree (1st Dan) in Ju-Jutsu. Both support already as a trainer in the Daaden club, as does Alina Utsch, who already has a black belt in Teakwondo and will be able to take the brown belt exam in a year at the earliest.(PM)
