Gabriel Clemens: From locksmith to darts professional – sport

Gabriel Clemens worked as a locksmith and is now the best German professional darts player. Before the World Cup, he talks about the chances of the Germans, the future of dart sport – and explains why he is happy about his former job.

Gabriel Clemens, 39, trained as a locksmith in Saarland and became known for his skill in throwing sharp arrows precisely into tiny squares. Talking big about it is not his thing. Ten days before the World Championships in “Ally Pally”, in the Alexandra Palace in London, there is still time for a conversation: a phone call shortly before the next throw.
