Parma Baseball announces that it has reached an agreement for the inclusion in its roster of the receiver Francesco Segreto (03.12.2003), coming from the formation of Crocetta.
Segreto has worn the uniforms of the regional and national youth teams several times. He played the 2021 season in Serie A with Sala Baganza getting 22 hits in 88 rounds (average
.250 with five doubles and three triples) while in the last championship he wore the Crocetta uniform closing the season with an overall .255, the result of 25 hits (five doubles and two triples) in 98 rounds.
Parma baseball also communicates that it has approved the appointment of Marco Campanini to the role of Team Manager while Andrea Pastori will assume the position of Club House Manager.
In the meantime, Federbaseball has communicated to the clubs that it has decided to maintain the same format used in the last season for the next Serie A championship. The 32 participating teams will initially be divided into four groups of eight teams with the top two from each group subsequently promoted to the semi-final rounds. Groups will be determined based on last season’s placings. Parma Clima was placed in the first tier with Bologna, Grosseto and San Marino. The winners of the 2022 Poule Relegation rounds (Modena, Rovigo, Macerata and Cagliari) are part of the second pot, the participants in the semi-final rounds (Godo, Turin, Collecchio and Nettuno 45) are part of the third, while the promoted teams are placed in the fourth pot from Serie B (Reggio Emilia, Padule, Codogno and Nettuno 2). The remaining formations – including Parma’s Crocetta, Oltretorrente and Sala Baganza) will be included in the initial groups based on the 2022 ranking with the forfeiture of the proximity criteria.
The deadline for registration has been postponed to next December 15th and the compositions of the groups will be communicated in the following days.
