Former Benfica chosen in the MLS draft by New York City – Internacional

Braudílio Rodrigues, a Luso-Guinean who went through Benfica’s formation, was the 55th choice

Luso-Guinean footballer Braudílio Rodrigues, a winger who went through Benfica’s formation and was in the university championships in the United States, was this Thursday one of the draft picks in the North American League (MLS) and signed for New York City.

Rodrigues, 23, was the 55th pick after two years on Franklin Pierce’s varsity team from Rindge, New Hampshire.

Born in Bissau, the winger played for Odivelas, Belenenses, Benfica, Oeiras and Real Massamá before making his senior debut for Sintra Football in 2019/20.
