BIG BED SHEET: The Sabana Grande Sports and Recreation Office, directed by José Félix Valentín, reports on the start of its First Category basketball tournament at the Ángel Antonio Figueroa Ramírez court, located in the Santa María del Pueblo del Petate urbanization.
“Basketball returns to the Pueblo del Petate, after a long recess caused by security protocols and limitations to carry out outdoor events. This initiative is added to the offer of different sports disciplines offered by the Office of Recreation and Sports”, explained Mayor Marcos G. Valentín Flores.
As part of the different sports alternatives that the municipality offers to citizens, Valentín Flores mentioned that they have judo, softball, baseball programs at various ages, and volleyball for adults and children, among others.
“Last week, attorney Carlos Beltrán visited our town to bring, for the first time, a women’s superior softball tournament. In this way, we continue working so that the sport of our town continues to shine”, Said the mayor of Sabana.
Any citizen interested in participating or being part of sports activities can go to the Office of Recreation and Sports of the Municipality of Sabana Grande, located in the Quintín Hernández Park from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. .
As part of the efforts in favor of sports, improvements will soon be made to the facilities of the Municipal Gymnasium and the Ángel Mercado Coliseum.
