Felix Mantilla joins Roberto Bautista’s team as coach

Roberto Bautista Agutwho is currently ranked twenty-one in the ATP ranking, speeds up the preseason before traveling to Australia, where he will begin his 2023 calendar with two previous tournaments in Adelaide to the first ‘Grand Slam’ of the season (January 16-30).

Bautista Agut closes 2022 with two new titles in his palmars: Doha and Kitzbuhel, for a total of 11 titles in his record. In additionwas a finalist with the Spanish team in the ATP Cup and played with Spain in the qualifying playoff, the group stage and the final phase of the Davis Cup.

The best result from Castellón at the Australian Open was the quarterfinals reached in 2019. During the tour of the antipodes he will be accompanied by Daniel Gimeno.

Flix Matilla will join his team for the 2023 season, replacing Toms Carbonell. “I am very grateful for all the work that Tomás has done with me from the first years until now. I consider him a fundamental part of all the successes I have had in my career,” adds Bautista Agut.

An experienced technician

Mantilla, who went on to win 10 titles as a professional, had his first experience on the benches with the Ukrainian Aleksandr Dolgopolov and lately had been working alongside Lucas Pouille.
