Dembele Good Boy, Makes Ginger & Tea For Sick French Players

France has been hit by a virus ahead of the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina. Ousmane Dembele is also trying to make his teammates healthy again and ready for combat.

France will face Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, Sunday (18/12/2022) evening WIB. Blues in the mission of defending the title, while Argentina is trying to end the championship drought since 1986.

But France’s mission to become the first team to win back-to-back titles after Brazil in 1962 was plagued by a virus. A number of players were reported experiencing flu-like symptoms, including Kingsley Coman, Dayot Upamecano, Adrien Rabiot, and most recently Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate.

France immediately implemented health protocols to prevent transmission, including by keeping a distance.

“Those who are sick stay in their rooms. They are treated by doctors and we observe physical distancing. We are very strict about this,” French striker Randal Kolo Muani was quoted as saying BBC.

Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele has his own way of helping his colleagues recover. He just hopes that all team members are ready to fight against Argentina.

“We are not afraid of the virus. Dayot and Adrien had a little stomach ache, I made them ginger and honey tea, then they felt better,” he said.

“I hope everyone is ready to appear in the final. Dayot is getting better and I think everyone will be ready, really. We have taken precautions.”

“On the first day (of illness), Dayot stayed in his room and we brought him food and he was back to join everyone the next day,” added the Barcelona player.
