Bruno Petkovic, with a goal in the 116th minute, had neutralized the goal that Neymar Jr had previously achieved in extra time and that seemed to take Brazil to the quarterfinals. With morale through the roof, Croatia once again survived on penalties, in which they scored all the shots and Rodrygo and Marquinhos missed.

Croatia will face next Tuesday in the first semifinal, to be held at the Lusail stadium, the winner of the match between the Netherlands and Argentina.
