Chelsea are about to strengthen themselves permanently with Datro Fofana. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Londoners have reached an agreement with Molde FK.
Reportedly, Chelsea pays about ten to twelve million euros for Fofana, who, according to insider Bart Sanders, ‘was doing well internally at Ajax’. “But Chelsea have been extremely proactive. The shortlist for the striker position can be adjusted.”
The English still have to reach a deal with Fofana himself, but because the Ivorian himself wants it, it is only a formality. At Stamford Bridge, he replaces the badly injured Armando Broja, who can no longer play this season.
Great urgency
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz were the only remaining candidates for the striker position under Graham Potter, so Fofana will almost certainly be added. For Molde, he scored four goals in ten appearances this season.
