CdM: Regragui predicts an African coronation

For the first time in history, an African selection has reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in this 2022 edition: Morocco. After the defeat against Croatia (1-2) this Saturday on the occasion of the small final, the coach of the Atlas Lions, Walid Regragui, predicted a bright future for the teams of the continent.

“We managed to make a few kids dream of becoming professional footballers. That’s priceless, the technician first pointed out to the media. Why Croatia manages to beat us is that “She has this experience. She participates in each World Cup. With nine participants (Africans at the next World Cup, editor’s note), we will learn. In fifteen, twenty years, I am convinced that an African team will win the World Cup because ” We will have learned. We have a level to pass. We have to build on that. With work, with desire. We are not building this DNA just for Morocco, but for the continent.”

With their formidable epic, the Atlas Lions will have made the pride of all of Africa.
