Another of those extraordinary matches that add solidarity, empathy and affection to sport has been scheduled for next Sunday.
This is a preparation match for the Segorbe Functional Diversity Team made up of students and users of the city’s functional diversity centers (Occupational Center, Center for Rehabilitation and Social Integration -Criss- and the Residence for the Mentally Disabled) who with the motto Basketball does not set limits to anything or anyone, it will be played at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Sports Center pavilion in the capital of Palancia.
At the beginning of this year 2022, when the Board of C,B. Segorbe, the City Council and the Department of Social Services and the different centers for people with functional diversity in Segorbe, got to work to put into operation the CB Segorbe Basketball School, adapted to people with functional and intellectual diversity and the result is the formation of a team, which under the direction of the basketball player Jordi Andreu, already made its debut last June against a team from Burjasot.
