Australian Open 2023: Dominic Thiem receives an invitation to the Australian Open

Dominic Thiem returns to the Australian Open. The Austrian tennis player, finalist in 2020 against Novak Djokovic, has received an invitation to the final draw of the tournament. Last year he missed the appointment due to injury.

Thiem has been off the slopes since June 2021 when he suffered a torn tendon in his right wrist during the Mallorca tournament, prior to Wimbledon. I played again in March 2022 at the AnyTech365 Andaluca Open in Marbella. He is now about to return to the top 100 of the ATP ranking (it is 102) since he fell to 352 in June of this year.

The organization of the tournament has also made public invitations to tennis players from other federations with Grand Slams. The French Luca Van Assche and Diane Parry and the Americans Christopher Eubanks and Taylor Townsend will be in the first grand slam of the season, which will still grant another two wild cards for boys and girls.
