Juan Martin Del Potro has not said his last word!
If his last match in Buenos Aires, last February against his compatriot Federico Delbonis, looked like a farewell, the Argentinian had never wanted to officially announce the end of his career. A tennis lover, he couldn’t bring himself to put away his rackets for good.
When a fan challenged him, offering to play the US Open 2023 if Argentina won the World Cup, Del Potro replied: ” I’m doing my best “before explaining that he would say more in the coming days.
The winner of the 2009 US Open has tested all the treatments to heal his painful knee. Perhaps he has found the solution to engage in one last dance. All tennis fans hope so.
