Currently in Saudi Arabia for the Diriyah Cup where he qualified for the semi‐finals this Thursday after a victory against the returning Alexander Zverev (6−0, 6–4), Daniil Medvedev gave an excellent interview to our Argentine colleagues of Clay in which he attempts to explain why the Big 3 has performed so well for almost 20 years.
“It’s hard to say if it’s mentally or purely a tennis problem… They’re just stronger than any of us. By saying that, I mean we can beat them all in some games, yes. Even looking at my face to face with Novak. I beat him four or five times (Djokovic leads 8–4). But if you look at the history of tennis, there is no one who equals them.
