The Senior Spanish Championship arrives this Friday in Gijón. This is Ω one of the outstanding competitions on the national calendar, since the ‘Senior Planet’ is understood as a very important part of Spanish badminton, which, in addition to achieving good international results, has shown a very nice and much-needed team spirit.
In Gijón we will see almost 300 athletes from 90 national clubs from 17 autonomous communities and, among them, 21 Asturian players stand out. The competition starts this Friday at 9:00 a.m. with nine playing courts. Three of them are expected to can follow live through the YouTube channel of the Federation.
The organization of this Spanish Championship is a guarantee of success due to the extensive experience of the Badminton Federation of the Principality of Asturias in this area and thanks to the support of the Gijón City Council and the General Directorate of Sports. We must not forget the support of sponsors such as IBERDROLA, El Corte Inglés, Lotteries and YONEX, and the collaboration of Turismo del Principado de Asturias, the Sidrería Piñera or NetSports.
