Tomasz Wiktorowski, trainer of the ultra‐dominant world number 1 Iga Swiatek, answered questions from Sport.pl. In particular, he gives his opinion on the current state of the WTA circuit.
“Three or four years ago, I thought we were moving towards very physical tennis, while improving technically. I’m surprised to see girls coming back to the front of the stage who don’t have a complete technique. Overall, world number two Ons Jabeur has very interesting tennis, number four Caroline Garcia too – she plays a lot at the net, puts some variety on her serve. Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, for their part, form one of the best pairs, but we can see their technical shortcomings. »
