UABC Sports State – ZETA Weekly

Today, Friday, November 4, the Faculty of Sports and the State Coordination of Physical Activity of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) will carry out the State Sports Games in various disciplines: Basketball, Tochito, Indoor Soccer and Bardas Soccer in campus facilities; Indoor Volleyball at the Technological Institute of Tijuana; Beach Volleyball at the High Performance Center; Baseball in the “Salvador Sierra Vera” Field and Softball in the Graduate Field.

The games will start at 09:00 am and will be open to the university community and the general public. On Friday the 11th, the Chess, Athletics, Badminton, 3×3 Basketball, Boxing, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Table Tennis and Archery events will continue. (ZETA/Sports)

Insaculate Jury for State Award

on the way to State Sports Award 2022, the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of the State carried out the insulation of the representatives of the associated sport: José Chávez, from Frontón; Stephanie Salinas, from Archers; and Cristóbal Fraga, from Olympic Medalists. And from the media, Heriberto Muñoz, Marco Domínguez and Alfonso Garzón.

Also participating will be Luis “Abuelo” Álvarez and Cuauhtémoc Carrillo, winning athlete and coach in previous editions; the directors of Municipal Sports Institutes, Cecilio Hernández (Tijuana), Rodrigo Ramírez (Tecate) and Cristhian Lara (San Felipe). Also, Rodolfo Lara, from Fort Bottler; Antonio Cano, from Toros de Tijuana; Emilio Arrayales, from the Autonomous University of Baja California; as well as the deputy Julio César Vázquez.

Open Badminton Tournament

Eighth-semester students of the Bachelor of Physical Activity and Sports at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), will carry out the Tournament Open Badminton, to be held on Sunday, November 13 at the High Performance Center.

Ana Maciel, general director of the event, announced that it will have six categories: A-Elite, B-Advanced, C-Competitive, D-Beginners, E-Novices and Doubles. Prizes will be awarded to the first three places in each category. The registration fee will be 400 pesos for the general public and 250 pesos for UABC students.
