Two top mares from Jonelle Price retired

Jonelle Price, the current number two in the FEI world eventing ranking, leaves her two top mares Classic Moet (v. Classic xx) en Faerie Dianimo (v. Dimaggio) to retire. Both mares have had an impressive career and are still in top condition at the age of nineteen and seventeen respectively. “They can both retire in top condition,” said Price.

Maggie May, as Fairie Dianimo is called at home, was a true Luhmühlen specialist. The mare finished in the top three on three out of four starts and won the event in 2018. This year the mare ran her last international competition in Luhmühlen. She ended that with the third prize. Maggie May won the CIC3* (current 4*) for eight- and nine-year-olds in Blenheim in 2014 and was fourth in her first 4* (current 5*). This was followed by a second place in Aachen and participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. There they finished fourth with the team and seventeenth individually. The mare only 1.60 meters tall stood her ground in the cross.

Classic Moet

The now nineteen-year-old Classic Moet, called Molly at home, ran this year to eleventh place in Badminton and fourth place in Burghley, an absolute top performance at this age. Molly took twelfth place in Luhmühlen on her 4* debut in 2014 and then qualified for the World Equestrian Games in Caen, where the duo finished fourth individually. In 2015 a fifth place followed in Burghley and the following year the combination was third. The first big win followed in 2018: Badminton. That same year they were there at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, where they finished nineteenth.
