On the occasion of fourth anniversary since the death of the President and founder of the ASD New Team 2000 Basket Crotonethe is renewed Memorial Egidio Carbone.
The sporting event was born with the intention of honor the passion and the dedication lavished, in addition twenty-five years on the territory, in pursuing his project to bring basketball to life in the Pythagorean city through the courses of mini basketball, youth activity and of senior teamcrowned several times in national successes.
After break due to the health emergency that forced him to move to the web, the memorial is back in presenceon the field so dear to the President, the Palakrò: it was decided to give space to children of the New Team 2000 which they will dispute a friendly tournament of mini-basketball, hosting and mingling for the occasion with the same age of the Polisportiva Punta Alice.
It will be an opportunity for meet the institutions administrative e sportivethe press organizations and all those who in various capacities have shared a path with him, to talk about the future of Crotone basketball and remember the sportsman, the manager, the man, Egidio Carbone, with a smile.
Engaged not only in basketball Crotone as President of the New Team 2000 Basketball Amateur Sports Society, Carbone was FIP provincial delegate for the Pythagorean city and member of the regional committee FIP Calabria he was born in Council of CONI provincial.
He managed for about twenty years the sports hall “Palakrò” as President of the “City of Crotone” Sports Consortium showing, even in these areas, his commitment to social issues, especially towards young and very young people.
