The degradation of the MOL Cup continues! The victim is especially the Lvíčat national team, which will lose its support before the approaching Euro

Will Nicolae Stanciu return to Slavia? This information really stirred up the waters of Czech football last week. The Romanian playboy is not entirely happy in China and would reportedly like to return to Eden. But Cluj also comes into play, which has the advantage of spring in Europe.

Probably everyone in Slavia can see that letting Nic Stancio leave was a mistake. Not so much the departure itself, if he really wanted to transfer, it is not worth keeping him at all costs. The bigger mistake was not being able to bring a replacement.

The departure of Stancio hurt Slavia more than the management expected. Jindřich Trpišovský’s team lacked creativity, losing to opponents who only needed to crawl into a deep block. Slavia lost the title mainly due to the departure of Stanciu, and they missed the Romanian midfielder immensely even in the fall.

Last week Seznam Zpravy reported that Nicolae Stanciu is interested in returning to Slavia. Even the seamers are interested in returning, because you simply cannot find a similar player.

But Slavia has considerable competition in the fight for the arrival of Stancia. The Romanian server sportpro.ro came with the information that Stanciu made a promise that if he returns to his native Romania, it will only be with CFR Cluj. This is despite him previously kicking for FCSB.

Rival Slavia from the Conference League group will also play this competition in the spring and will face Italy’s Lazio in the preliminary round.

“The station is our priority! I wanted him already in January, but at that time it was not possible to make the transfer. We are willing to do everything we can to make it happen now, but the transfer fee also depends on it.” Cluj boss Neluta Varga told sportpro.ro.

And that might just be the catch. Cluj does not have the same financial possibilities as Slavia and it is not certain whether they could offer him the same salary as Stanciu in Vršovice. And as you know, salary is not exactly an unimportant matter that Stanciu deals with during transfers…

Return to Slavia? Definitely yes

But it would definitely pay off for Slavia. You can take the example of his engagement and after leaving. Although he burdened Kasa with an astronomical salary, he gave it back to the staples on the field.

He helped Sišivanym to the Champions League when he assisted on the winning goal in Cluj. He then played a key role in two titles, when he first collected a balance of 4+11 and then 12+6, at the same time leading Slavia to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where he helped with 3 goals and 3 assists.

Thus, his above-standard salary paid off significantly for Slavia. If we take the time after Stancio, we find the first unwon title after four years, elimination from the paper-easy basic group of the Conference League (for the first time under Trpišovský) and a loss in the league to Pilsen. Wouldn’t it be worth it to bring Stancio back?
