Before the medals were awarded, Christian Gonzales, deputy mayor for sports and associations, underlined the role of associations contributing “to the good health of the community and helping young people to emancipate themselves”. Among the achievements, the elected official cited the sports course of Castillon obtained with the Tous association, within the framework of the participatory budget of the Landes department, the Mabillet project whose synthetic pitch is completed. The installation of the lighting will follow in early 2023, then the construction of the rural stand, the pediment, an association building with offices and foyer, a gymnasium primarily reserved for Hégaldi aerobics.
Aquatic equipment
The deputy mayor mentioned the aquatic equipment carried by the community of municipalities, its location on the Loustaunau site and the start in 2023 of “complex studies, the environmental standards being more and more restrictive”, affirming: “it this is the only place that we can carry out this project”.
Christian Gonzales and Jean-Marc Lespade congratulated the athletes who distinguished themselves individually or collectively with their club. In the front row are the Tarnosien Guillaume Toucoullet, vice-world champion and European champion in disabled archery 2022.
