The CB IES La Orden supports Pablo Abián in his confrontation with the Federation

The IES La Orden Badminton Club considers that the decision adopted by the National Badminton Federation (FESBA) by leaving the player of the Huelva team Pablo Abián out of the call to play the preliminary phase of the Absolute Mixed Team Championshipwhich takes place from December 15 to 18, 2022 in Switzerland, is unfair and discriminatory.

In this sense, the Huelva club regrets the lack of objective criteria to leave the Aragonese player out of the competition, despite the fact that he revalidated the title of Spanish champion in May, won the Mediterranean Games in June and has not lost to a Spanish player in 16 years, sporting merits that, according to the facts, are not enough to be summoned by the National Badminton Team. For the IES La Orden it is totally incomprehensible that the best national player is not present in this call and considers that it is not only unfair to Pablo Abián but detrimental to all Spanish badminton.

Likewise, denounces the discriminatory treatment of the athlete by FESBA by not processing their scholarship application as an intern at the Joaquín Blume High Performance Center in the last two years -despite meeting all the criteria established in the call-, depriving him of the necessary means to train at the highest level.

The IES La Orden thus shows its unconditional support for Pablo Abián, after the player has expressed the bad personal moment you are going through before the continuous impediments to which it has to face.
