Once again, just a few points separate Grosseto Basketball – GrossetoSport from victory

Difficult away match against a strong team, currently first in the standings with 4 matches won out of the five played so far. The hosts are always ahead but Grosseto doesn’t give up conceding a few points of advantage despite San Miniato being relentless in the 3-point shot (33 points out of 61 finals come from long range). The fourth fraction of the game sees a good PGR recovery up to a few seconds from the end in which only the opponents’ free throws scored and a missed conclusion at the end allow San Miniato to win the 2 points. The absences of Conti and Terrosi weigh heavily for the Grosseto people, who arrived in 10 at the Pala Sammontana, who could have told them respectively from outside and under the planks.

This is the hot comment of coach Manganelli.

“The match was very physical, they have great players both in terms of age and build, the referees gave them a lot and we suffered for it, however I’m very happy with the boys because they never gave up despite the absences of two very important players for our balance (Terrosi and Conti) and both managed to have the possibility of going to at least extra time at 14 seconds.

Unfortunately what we’re missing now besides some break moments in attack is making the right choice in the last action which didn’t allow us to win the last 2 games at home.”
