Sète: it blew like a holiday air on the island of Thau

The neighborhood association brought together all the partners for two days of events.

On the island of Thau, school holidays are also in full swing. In this spring weather, conducive to getting some fresh air, the community association of the district which brings together more than fifteen partners had settled for two days at Place de la Seincholle.

On this day, several workshops and activities are in progress and fill up with children while the mothers, seated on a bench, watch over the little ones. One of them did not come empty-handed bringing a huge bag of sweets to share. “It’s great for kids” comments another whose children, Sarah and Issa, play a game of trapping.

“The purpose of these partner days is to animate the neighborhood for the children who do not leave” explained Nathalie Asselin, coordinator of l’association Concerthau. Today, they are seventy; tomorrow there will be more of them.” Last month, Concerthau revived the neighborhood party that had been missing for two years. “There were almost 400 children and 23 workshops. What I want to emphasize is the imprint that this collective, created in 2011, has on the neighborhood. There are difficulties, miscellaneous facts but it is essential to discover something else and together, we are always stronger.”
