Águilas Doradas defeated Independiente Medellín 1-0 for the third date of Quadrangular B in the BetPlay II-2022 League, those from eastern Antioquia continue with an ideal score thanks to the goal of Auli Oliveros, they were very close to reaching their first final.
With a great atmosphere at the Alberto Grisales stadium in Rionegro, Águilas Doradas and Independiente Medellín went out in search of the three points. The visit generated the first arrival, at minute 4 through Felipe Pardo, with a mid-distance shot.
The minutes passed and the game was concentrated in the center of the field, Medellín tried to get closer, while Águilas was more cautious.
At minute 17, Adrián Arregui approached the DIM, but his shot went very smoothly. About 20 minutes in, Águilas took control of the ball, but he lacked precision.
The match became more dynamic, back and forth, with the DIM appearing on the opposite goal, more out of desire than precision, while Águilas came out on the counterattack, at 24, they had a very clear play through Marco Pérez who contained the goalkeeper Andres Mosquera Marmolejo.
The game slowed down until the 33rd minute, with a mid-range shot by Robinson Flores that went slightly wide of the visitor’s goal. About minute 41, Jhon Fredy Salazar shot from mid-range and the ball passed near the red goal.
The first half ended with an offensive play by the DIM that led to a deflected shot by Vladimir Hernández.
In the complementary stage, both teams kept the same players who had finished the first half. The game went back and forth, until at minute 7, Auli Oliveros from mid-distance opened the scoring for the team from eastern Antioquia.
With this partial result, Águilas reached 9 points out of a possible 9, standing in first position in the table.
At minute 10, Medellín made his first substitution, entering José Hernández Chávez instead of Miguel Monsalve, three minutes later, an alleged hand by Jeisson Quiñones inside the area, the referee Jhon Hinestroza did not whistle it before an angry protest from the visiting players.
On the 25th, Jean Pineda entered by Vladimir Hernández in the DIM. A minute later, Águilas Doradas had the second goal through Mateo Puerta and the ball went slightly wide of the visiting goal.

Águilas Doradas achieves its third consecutive victory in the home runs, remains in the first position of the table and would be three points away from securing itself in the final. Medellín will have to improve a lot in the three remaining games if it wants to aspire to qualify.
