After knowing that he is the first substitute for the ATP Finals 2022 from Turin, the Dane decides to get off the Next Gen ATP Finals 2022 (Milan) to be as prepared as possible in case there is any loss among the eight masters. After playing four consecutive finals, with this last victory at the ATP Masters Paris-Bercy 2022, Rune will now have a few days in which to rest, pending a possible last hour from Milan. In his place will be the Italian Matteo Arnaldi, number 140 in the world.
