Robots and football connected? It will happen and it will start this Friday, November 18th, at the Thinking Football Summit, taking place at the Super Bock Arena, in Porto.
The event, organized by Liga Portugal to discuss the professional football industry, will feature a partnership with the Portuguese company Beltrão Coelho, which will take robotics to the Super Bock Arena, with some robots on duty to entertain visitors.
According to a statement sent to the News by the MinuteCruzr, a service robot capable of detecting faces and thus initiating interaction with humans, “answering questions, dancing, among other activities”, will welcome participants.
In addition, this robot will also “dance to the official anthem” of Liga Portugal, ‘Não Pára’, by Bateu Matou, and will have a “quiz with questions for the most fanatical participants”. It will even be possible to take selfies with the Cruzr.
Bellabot, “a robot designed specifically to serve the hospitality and catering industry”, will bring a new “automated experience to the VIP area of the event, serving canapés to the participants of the event”.
Beltrão Coelho, a Portuguese company dedicated to technological innovation in the business context, started its journey in robotics in 2018, having started to bring different service robots to Portugal.

The Thinking Footbal Summit aims to rethink the future of professional football and robotics cannot, therefore, be left out “, explains Bruno Coelho, responsible for the robotics division at Beltrão Coelho, quoted in the same note.
The Thinking Football Summit 2022 takes place between the 18th and 20th of November and tickets can be purchased online.
