On November 9, the Orix Buffaloes announced that they would acquire former Hanshin Tigers player Yasumi Ono as a training player.

Ono is the right-hand man who joined Hanshin in 2016 after passing through Fuji University from Aimataka Orio. In his second year, he won 7 wins as a starting pitcher, but he did not settle in the army. He had a 1.80 ERA in five games this season.

In six years, he has pitched a total of 69 games, 9 wins and 15 losses, 5 holds, an ERA of 4.65, and 186 strikeouts.
