Not only the injury: the reason why Neymar did not go to the game in Brazil

Vinicius Junior revealed that it was not because of the ankle that the Brazilian star was not at stadium 974 to see the victory against the Europeans for the second date of Group G of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“He was sad because he couldn’t come, he was feeling bad. Not only because of his foot, but he had a bit of a fever. I hope he recovers soon, as soon as possible”, said Vinícius in statements collected by the Brazilian media Globo Esporte.

Without defined recovery periods, Neymar is expected to be back for the round of 16 of the tournament, to which Brazil has already qualified thanks to their victory against Switzerland. The Brazilians, even losing, could go to the next phase as group leaders.
