Norwegian handball players win the European Championship

In the fight for bronze medals, the Montenegrin national team unexpectedly beat the Olympic champions France with 27:25.

Montenegrin handball players had won awards at the European championships only once, when they sensationally won the gold in 2012.

Jovanka Radičević and Djurdjina Jauković scored six goals each for the winners, while Estelle Nze Minko and Lucija Granier scored four goals each for the French national team.

With their triumph in the European Championship, Norwegian handball players guaranteed themselves a place in the 2024 Olympic Games, while participation in the 2023 World Championship was secured by the other medalists, as well as France, France, Sweden and the Netherlands.
