Werder gossip about two World Cup drivers!

This is what World Cup joy looks like!

Niclas Füllkrug (29) made it into Hansi Flick’s (57) World Cup squad. The joy of the Werder professional and his teammates? GIGANTIC!

Füllkrug colleague Leonardo Bittencourt (28) filmed on his cell phone how parts of the Werder team looked at the squad nomination with Füllkrug together on the club grounds.

But before the joy there are still side blows against two BVB stars!

Before the name Füllkrug appears on the TV, the names of Dortmund pros Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt, who also made it into the squad, run across the screen.

However, some at Werder cannot quite understand these nominations.

From the background you can hear Adeyemi saying “Are you kidding me?” And with Brandt’s fade-in you can hear: “Dude, why is that?”

It is not clear who exactly wrote the sentences. In any case, according to BILD information, the athletic trainers Günther Stoxreiter and Henrik Frach were present in the room alongside Bittencourt and Füllkrug. In addition, substitute keeper Michael Zetterer and ex-national player Niklas Stark.

After the gossip, the party gets going when the name of Füllkrug finally appears on the TV.

“Filling jug on fire” chanted the colleagues, jumping around wildly. In the now shaky video, Füllkrug can be seen with a big smile.

Werder’s professional boss Clemens Fritz (41) to BILD: “We’ve believed in it for a long time. Why not? Niclas played brilliantly last season and is now continuing it in the Bundesliga. He’s in top form and he deserves it. We are incredibly happy for him.”

And further: “He has a quality that we don’t really have in Germany. His winning mentality, this robustness, his header game is unbelievable. You always like having a player like that in your squad. You can throw him in and he’ll help a team. I am convinced that he will also help the national team with his qualities.”
