The story was reported by the NFL website and is based on a Miami-Dade Police Department report.

In the document, it is indicated that the American Airlines company personnel tried to wake up “OBJ” so that he fastened his seat belt. The one who is currently a free agent, however, seemed in a daze and was struggling to stay awake.

“Fearing Mr Beckham was seriously ill and his health deteriorating during the flight which was expected to last five hours, attendants called in the police and a fire crew. When the officers arrived, the crew asked Mr. Beckham several times to leave the plane, which he refused. The plane was then evacuated when officers asked Mr. Beckham to leave the plane, which he did without incident,” authorities said in a statement.

Beckham is recovering from a serious knee injury sustained during the final game of the Super Bowl. He must also meet several teams in the coming days, in order to make a return to competition.
