NFL: Josh Allen and the Bills take their revenge on the Chiefs

SUMMARY

After suffering a heartbreaking loss in the playoffs last winter, the Buffalo Bills got their revenge on the Kansas City Chiefs with a 24-20 victory at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

We thought that Patrick Mahomes would have the opportunity to come and haunt the Bills again with a late game winning streak, but the quarterback had one of his passes intercepted by Taron Johnson.

Unlike the duel played in January, the Bills made the best plays late in the game.

In a rather defensive game, the Bills were able to register the only touchdown of the 4th quarter to take the advantage after a first half that ended in a score of 10-10.

Allen threw touchdown passes to Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis and Dawson Knox to finish his game with 329 passing yards after completing 27 of 40 pass attempts. True to form, Diggs shone with 148 yards on 10 receptions. Allen had a career-high 13 consecutive assists.

“Nothing we did last year carries over to what we’re doing this year,” Allen shrugged. What happened in the past is where it’s happening. All we can do is focus on the next game. Today was the next. »

Mahomes was not as sparkling as his rival with two touchdown passes, but two interceptions. Mahomes completed 25 of 40 passes for 338 yards. JuJu Smith-Schuster (113 yards and a touchdown) and Travis Kelce (108 yards on eight receptions) were favorite targets for the Chiefs quarterback.

Von Miller of the Bills had two sacks, now having 16 in 19 games against Kansas City.

“I have come to this stage on multiple occasions. I showed up at that same mic, but rarely with a smile, Miller said. It’s so fun to show up with my teammates, to work for something like this and come out on top. »

Buffalo will now enjoy its bye week before hosting the Packers on Oct. 30. The Chiefs will be in action next Sunday when they visit the 49ers home.
