Merzlikin will guard the goal in the first game in Tampere against the NHL champion team

On Friday and Saturday (November 4 and 5), “Blue Jackets” and “Avalanche” will play two NHL regular championship games in Tampere. Both matches are scheduled to start at 20.00 Latvian time.

“Blue Jackets” head coach Brad Larsen has confirmed that Merzlikin will be entrusted with the security of the team’s goal in the first game.

Finnish goalkeeper Jonas Korpisalo has recovered from his injury and may be given the opportunity to play in the second match in front of his fans.

“Blue Jackets” went to Finland with three goalkeepers. Russian Daniil Tarasov is also in the team.

With six points in 10 games, the Blue Jackets are currently in last place in the Metropolitan Division and the entire Eastern Conference.

The NHL champion “Avalanche” has currently played nine games and won the same number of points, which ranks the team in fifth position in the Central Division and only in 10th place overall in the Western Conference.
