Mayor Roger Nediani met with outstanding athletes from the city of La Banda, where the Rally runners, the brothers Agustín and Luis Catálfamo were present; the Taekwondo champion, Alex Ali, and the Judo discipline, Josué Arredondo.
On the occasion, each of the athletes expressed their gratitude to the municipality for the support they received during their training and in the competitions in which they had the opportunity to participate.
In this regard, the Catálfamo brothers highlighted: “We are very happy for the support we receive in relation to our clothing team, where the logos of the Municipality of La Banda are present, since it is essential to be on top of the car and continue with motor competition. For 20 years it has been the trajectory of Luis and 10 years of Agustín”.
Likewise, Alex Ali, a 16-year-old red belt and black tip, added: “First of all, my thanks to the municipality that provided me with tickets to go to the province of Buenos Aires, where I participated in the Taekwondo World Championship in Tecnópolis. and I got to get first place. I am gratified with my family and an important person who was by my side during this championship, my instructor and coach Luis Carletti, as well as where I train.”
On the other hand, Josué Arredondo, an 18-year-old green belt, pointed out: “In the same vein, I received financial aid to participate on November 24 to 27 in Misiones in a national competition, and finally on December 3 in Brazil border with Paraguay in the International Tournament, I am preparing at the Municipal Judo School and my father as well as Professor Ricardo Arredondo is present at all times”.
Finally, the mayor expressed: “I am proud of each one of these young athletes from Banda for the representation they give us at the national and international levels. Call on them to continue working together and keep in mind that the meaning of sport not only depends on the competition, but also on the formation of values as people”.
