Mammoth trade suggested between Lakers and Nets, four superstars involved!

In difficulty since the takeover, should Los Angeles and Brooklyn do business together? In any case, this is what several leaders of the league are proposing. The transaction in question would also be monstrous, since it would involve no less than four big names from the two franchises.

On paper, a game between the Lakers and the Nets like the one tonight should be a five-star poster. Except that in the state, it is quite simply a meeting between (very) badly classified. With its success, LA was able to recover a little bit, now posting a record of 3 wins for 10 losses (14 in the Western Conference). It’s only marginally better for the Blacks and Whites, who are currently 12th in the East with a 6-8 record.

For two superteams which were called upon to dominate the NBA since their formation a year ago, it is obviously a violent return to earth since they left to do even worse than last year. All while having almost even more drama in their locker rooms… We think in particular of the New York squad, which has seen all the colors recently. Between the dismissal of coach Steve Nash and the anti-Semitic controversy around Kyrie Irvingthe last few weeks have not been easy.

As often, setting up a trade seems to be the best solution in these circumstances, in order to wake up the respective workforce a little. Why not by doing business together, since they have not gone far during the past offseason. Ric Bucher from Fox Sports has also conducted its little investigation on the subject and according to the journalist, some competing leaders would not rule out a gigantic transaction, although they do not really believe in it:

KD and Kyrie Irving against AD and Russell Westbrook?

With the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets on course to miss the playoffs, front office speculation around the league is whether this might inspire a fantasy league-style cut-price superstar trade. Not only Russell Westbrook against Kyrie Irving – which was mentioned last summer – but also Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant.

Sounds far-fetched? While no one in the league is convinced this will happen, several GMs believe it could happen. “Who could do it? All parties involved,” an Eastern Conference GM said. “It’s way too early to tell,” another Eastern Conference GM said. “It makes sense for both of them, but Kyrie is such an unknown right now.”

Remember that the Pourpres et Ors had tried to acquire Uncle Drew during the summer, the leader having even expressed the wish to play again with LeBron James, a desire shared by the King. As for KD, he had also publicly asked for his departure and if the two superstars finally stayed, it is certainly only a postponement. That being said, hard to see Brooklyn handing over the Slim Reaper like that to Los Angeles.

In the state, it is difficult to see such an exchange coming into the world between the Lakers and the Nets. The two franchises may struggle at the start of the 2022-23 season, going all-in this way seems unlikely, especially with regard to Brooklyn and Kevin Durant.
